Getting started

What is Snapora?
Snapora is an event photo platform for photographers and organisers. You upload your full event catalogue, share a QR code with attendees, and guests scan it, take a selfie, and instantly receive every photo they appear in — no app required.
Who is Snapora for?
Primarily photographers and event organisers — wedding studios, corporate event teams, festival and sports photographers, and anyone who shoots large events and wants an effortless way to deliver personalised galleries to every attendee.
Do guests need to create an account?
No. Guests scan the QR code or open the event link, upload a selfie, and instantly see their photos. There is no registration, no app to download, and no login required for guests.
Is the first event really free?
Yes — completely free, no credit card required. You get 5 GB storage and 30-day active access. It's a one-time offer per account so you can experience the full face-match workflow with real guests before spending anything.

How face matching works

How does the selfie face-match work?
When you upload event photos, Snapora automatically detects and indexes every face in the background using AI. When a guest uploads a selfie, their face is compared against that index and all matching photos are returned — usually within seconds.
How accurate is the face matching?
Very accurate under normal conditions — clear, front-facing faces with decent lighting match reliably. Accuracy can drop with extreme angles, heavy obstructions (masks, sunglasses), very low-resolution source photos, or very large crowds where faces are tiny in frame.
What selfie works best for guests?
A clear, front-facing photo taken in good light with no sunglasses or hats. A recent photo works best — face-match uses current appearance, not historical photos. Guests can try again with a different selfie if the first attempt returns poor results.
Can a guest find photos of someone else?
Only if their own face appears in those photos. The system returns photos containing the face in the uploaded selfie — it cannot be used to search for arbitrary people, only the person holding the camera.

Photos & storage

What photo formats are supported?
JPEG and PNG. RAW files (CR2, NEF, ARW, etc.) are not supported — export to JPEG before uploading. We recommend exporting at full resolution for the best guest download experience.
Is there a per-photo file size limit?
Yes — individual photos must be under 50 MB each. This covers virtually all JPEG exports at full resolution. If a file exceeds the limit it is skipped and flagged in the upload modal.
What happens when I hit my storage limit?
New uploads are paused until you add more storage with a Boost Pack. Existing photos and guest access are completely unaffected — guests can still find and download their photos while you top up storage.
Can guests download photos?
Yes. Every matched photo has a download button in the lightbox view. Guests download the full-resolution version of the original uploaded file.
Can I delete individual photos?
Yes — from the event detail page you can delete individual photos or select and bulk-delete multiple photos. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Events & access

How do I share the event with guests?
Each event has a unique QR code and a shareable link. You can download the QR, print it, project it at the venue, or send the link directly. Guests can also use an access code as a fallback if QR scanning is inconvenient.
Can I restrict who can access the event?
Yes. You can disable guest access at any time from the event settings page — the QR code and link will stop working immediately. Re-enabling access is instant. You can also refresh the event code, which invalidates all old QR codes and links.
Can guests browse all photos or only their own?
You control this. The "Full collection visibility" toggle in event settings lets you choose whether guests can see the full photo catalogue or only photos matched to their selfie. When the catalogue is hidden, the "View catalogue" tab is removed from the guest page entirely — guests can only use "Find my photos".
How long is an event active?
Free events are active for 30 days. Standard events for 30 days, Branding events for 60 days. Your dashboard shows a warning 5 days before expiry. After the grace period, photos are permanently deleted and the event cannot be recovered.
What happens after an event expires?
After the 5-day grace period following the expiry date, the event status changes to Expired and all photos are permanently deleted. The event itself remains visible in your dashboard but cannot be recovered. Renew before expiry to avoid data loss.
Can I re-index photos if face matching stops working?
Yes. The event settings page has a Re-index option that re-queues all photos for face processing. Only use this if Find Me is genuinely returning no results despite photos being present — it is not needed for normally uploaded photos.

Privacy & data

Is face data stored permanently?
No. Face embeddings (the numerical fingerprints used for matching) are stored only for as long as the event is active. When an event expires or is deleted, all face data is permanently removed alongside the photos.
Are guest selfies stored?
Selfies uploaded by guests for face search are used only to perform the match and are not retained after the search completes. We do not build a guest face database.
Who can see the event photos?
Anyone with the event link or QR code can access the guest-facing page. They can only view photos that match their selfie, or browse the full catalogue if you have the catalogue tab enabled. Uploading and deleting photos requires your organiser login.
Where is data stored?
Photo files are stored in S3-compatible object storage. Face embedding vectors are stored in Qdrant, a purpose-built vector database. All data is processed and stored in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
How do I request data deletion?
Email legal@snapora.photos with your request. Deleting your account removes all events, photos, and face data associated with it.

Branding & white-label

What does the Branding plan change for guests?
On the Branding plan, the guest-facing event page shows your studio logo and brand name in the header instead of the Snapora logo. The QR code can be customised with your logo, colours, and dot styles. "Powered by Snapora" remains in the footer.
Can I fully white-label the platform?
The Branding plan gives you custom logo and brand name on the guest page and a fully customisable QR code. Full white-labelling (custom domain, complete removal of Snapora attribution) is available on the Enterprise plan — contact us to discuss.
Can I customise the QR code design?
Yes, on the Branding plan. You can change the dot style, corner style, colours and gradients, embed your logo in the centre, and set the error correction level. Changes apply to future QR downloads — update from the event's branding settings page.

Payments & billing

Which payment methods are accepted?
We accept UPI, cards, and netbanking for INR payments, and cards for USD payments. You choose your currency at checkout.
Are payments refundable?
Payments are generally non-refundable once an event is activated, as processing begins immediately. See our Refund Policy for the full terms, or contact support@snapora.photos if you have a specific situation.
Is there a subscription or monthly fee?
No. Snapora is pay-per-event. You pay once when you activate an event — no monthly fee, no annual subscription, no surprise charges.
Can I get an invoice for my payment?
Payment receipts are emailed to you automatically after each purchase. If you need a formal invoice, contact support@snapora.photos.
