Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using Snapora. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "user") and Snapora ("we", "us", or "our"). By registering for an account, uploading photos, accessing an event, or otherwise using the Snapora platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Description of service

Snapora is an event photo management platform that allows event organisers to upload photos and share them with guests via a QR code. Guests can use the "Find Me" feature to locate photos of themselves by submitting a selfie, which is processed using AI-based face recognition. The platform also supports paid plan activations, storage boosts, and event renewals via Cashfree Payments.

3. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an organiser account. By registering, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must notify us immediately at support@snapora.photos if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

Each account is for a single individual or organisation. You may not share your account credentials with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent platform limits.

4. Organiser responsibilities

As an event organiser, you agree that:

  • You have the right to upload all photos you submit to the platform. This means you either took the photos yourself, have a licence from the copyright owner, or have written consent from the subjects where required.
  • You have informed your guests that their photos may be processed using face recognition technology and that they may use the "Find Me" feature. We strongly recommend displaying a notice at your event.
  • You will not upload photos of minors without verifiable parental or guardian consent, and in any case not where face recognition will be applied to identify minors.
  • You will not upload photos that are defamatory, obscene, illegal, or that violate the privacy or dignity of any person.
  • You are responsible for distributing your event QR code and access code only to intended guests.

5. Guest use of the platform

Guests access events using a QR code and access code provided by an organiser. By using the "Find Me" feature, you:

  • Consent to your selfie being processed by AI face recognition technology to match against face embeddings from the event's photos.
  • Understand that your selfie is processed in memory only and is not stored after the search is complete.
  • Acknowledge that face matching is probabilistic and may not return all photos or may return false positives. Snapora makes no guarantee of accuracy.

6. Payments and subscriptions

Snapora offers paid plans (Standard, Branding) and add-on products (Storage Boost Packs). Payments are processed by Cashfree Payments and are subject to their terms. All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise stated.

Payment is non-refundable except as stated in our Refund Policy. By completing a payment, you acknowledge that the service is activated immediately and you waive any cooling-off rights to the extent permitted by law.

Storage limits are enforced per event. Uploading photos that exceed your plan's storage limit requires purchasing a Boost Pack. We reserve the right to pause uploads if your storage usage exceeds your purchased limit.

Event expiry — events expire after the retention period of your chosen plan (30 or 60 days from activation). Upon expiry, all photos and face embeddings are permanently deleted. It is your responsibility to renew before expiry or download photos you wish to keep.

7. Intellectual property

You retain full ownership of all photos you upload. By uploading photos, you grant Snapora a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display the photos solely as necessary to operate the platform (including generating thumbnails, creating face embeddings, and serving photos to authorised guests).

We will not use your photos for training AI models, marketing materials, or any purpose beyond operating the service without your explicit written consent.

All software, design, trademarks, and branding associated with Snapora are the exclusive property of Snapora. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without our written consent.

8. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract face embeddings or model weights.
  • Use automated bots or scripts to scrape photos or submit mass selfie searches.
  • Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or authentication mechanisms.
  • Upload malware, viruses, or files designed to interfere with the platform.
  • Use the platform to stalk, harass, or identify individuals without their consent.
  • Share your event access code publicly in a way that enables unauthorised mass access.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension, deletion of your events, and/or legal action.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Snapora is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

Face recognition accuracy — the "Find Me" feature uses probabilistic AI matching. We do not guarantee that all photos will be found or that results will be free of false positives. You agree not to rely solely on face search results for any legally significant purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Snapora's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to Snapora in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Snapora is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or reputational harm.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting support@snapora.photos. Upon account closure, all your events and photos will be permanently deleted (subject to the payment record retention requirement in our Privacy Policy).

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, without prior notice. No refund will be issued for termination due to policy violations.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India. We encourage you to contact us first at legal@snapora.photos to resolve disputes informally before initiating legal proceedings.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users via email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
